Our Policies and Website Compliance

Reservation

  • The number of guests acceptable at each cottage is clearly stated and must be respected by the person doing the reservation.
  • Anyone exceeding the stated occupancy limit of their rental, may be asked to leave, and without any refund.
  • All motel reservations are based on double occupancy. There is an additional cost for extra guests.
  • The full cost of a reservation is charged at the time of reservation for stays less than a week. All reservations must be paid in full no later than 1 month prior to the arrival date. Therefore, all reservations made within 1 month of the arrival date – of any duration – will be charged in full at time of reservation.

Check In / Check Out

Check in time is anytime after 4:00pm – Check out is 10:00am – at all locations. Early check in, or late check out can be done when the schedule permits for an extra charge – at the Inn or cottages – non peak – and done at the time of reservation.

Smoking

No smoking in any property or room. Smoking is permitted outdoors. Do not litter butts.

Pets

Pets only accepted at our cottages, and with a fee (max 2 pets). Where they are permitted, owners must conform to local ordinances when taking their pet outdoors – they must be within a fenced yard or on a leash. Failure to do so may incur a $250 fine. Pets are not permitted on the furniture or beds, and must be caged if you are leaving the property without them.

Cancellation

Cancel any reservation, or part of any reservation by 2 weeks prior to arrival date and receive a full refund. After that date, NO REFUNDS FOR ANY REASON.

Cleaning Fee

Cleaning fees at the cottages are as follows: $150 for 2br, $175 for 3br, and $225 for 4br and 5br. It is assumed that guests will pick up a bit before departing, including removing all food from the refrigerator and cottage, as well as taking out the trash. Please be sure only recyclables are put in the recycle bins – not in the regular trash bins. If a cottage is left in a very messy state, an additional cleaning cost will be assessed.

Security Deposit

Cottage Security Deposit – all cottage bookings have refundable security deposits as follows: $250 for 2-3br, $350 for 4br and $450 for 5br.

Booking Fees

Cottage Booking Fees – we do not charge a booking fee if you book directly with us.

Parking

Parking is free at all locations. Parking in yards or on the main road is not permitted. Parking at any location before check-in/arrival time is not permitted.

Linens/Towels

Cottage linens/towels – all are provided at no extra cost – beds are already made upon arrival

Amenities, etc…

  • Kayak, canoe, and bike rentals available nearby.
  • In cottage massage and/or private wine tour available at additional cost.

Septic Tank

The inn and all cottages have septics. We ask that guests put only toilet paper in the toilets.

Minimum Stay

  • 2-night minimum at Inn and all properties, all year
  • 3-night minimum on national holiday 3-day weekends at Inn and all properties
  • Lake front cottages rent Saturday to Saturday during summer.

  • EMAIL LINKS
    We only receive an email when a user mails us using an email link. There are no third-party data processors or intermediaries involved.
    The data is collated into an email and sent to us over the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP). Our SMTP servers are protected by TLS (sometimes known as SSL) meaning that the email content is encrypted before being sent across the internet. The email content is then decrypted by our local computers and devices.
  • REVENUE RECOVERY EMAILS
    As part of the Revenue Recovery model, we work with re-marketing service companies to send notification messages if you have abandoned your cart without making a purchase. This is for the sole purpose of reminding customers to complete the purchase if they wish to. The re-marketing service companies do a real-time capture of your email ID and cookies to send an email invite to complete the transaction if the customer abandons the cart. However, the email ID of the customer is deleted from their database as soon as the purchase is complete.
  • “DO NOT SELL MY DATA” – WHY WE DON’T HAVE IT ON THIS WEBSITE
    We do not sell personal information of our customers or of minors below the age of 16 years to third-party data collectors and hence the “Do not sell my data” opt-out button is optional on our website. Reiterating, we may collect your data for the sole purpose of completing a service request or for marketing communications.
